Hi! I’m Kyra Laffey
A Boston-based long term educator, I have always emphasized Disabled-led disability activism and queer liberation in my practice. As I transition out of the classroom into a role that aligns more deeply with my values of collective care and community, I continue to center my ongoing support for these communities in a way that is affirming and trauma-informed.
I am dedicated to supporting all people through every stage of the birthing process with particular care for those identifying as Disabled, queer, and/or with experiences of substance abuse.
I hold a bachelor’s in education from Hawai’i Pacific University, a masters in education from Boston University, a social-emotional learning certification, and am a 200hr RYT as well as an NASM Certified Personal Trainer. My doula trainings are through BADT (Fall 2025) and a DONA approved workshop (October 2025). For more information on my various trainings and education, see the Education & Training section below.

Corvids—crows, jays, and magpies—are clever birds, but they’re often viewed as spooky, weird, or bad omens. Like corvids, I’m a little weird and different and the flock I’m calling in come from all walks of life and all identities. I’m creating a space for everyone, but especially for the people who find that the majority of birthing and reproductive spaces are not built for them. People either intentionally excluded or unintentionally neglected in reproductive care. This space is for connection, community, advocacy, and intentional, inclusive, and holistic care.
Whether you’re a single parent, a pregnant teen, Disabled, queer, want to build your family, don’t want to build a family, have a history of substance use (or are actively using), you belong in my flock and I would love to support you.
Why Corvids?
