Bereavement Doula Services
The reproductive journey is not always filled with joy and excitement. For many reasons, people experience grief and a sense of loss. For these cases, I offer personalized bereavement and grief support.
While this care is individualized to meet you wherever you are at, it could include:
Emotional support without pathologizing your feelings or experiences
Journaling opportunities
Rituals and keepsakes
Movement and music
Nature-based experiences
A non-judgemental space to express your thoughts and feelings
Space for silence
Bereavement doula care is individualized, at your own pace, and without obligation to participate in grieving rituals.
Questions about bereavement offerings

Loss is defined personally and my role is never to determine whether or not your loss or grief “counts.” I’ve listed some examples below of people who may benefit from a reproductive bereavement doula, but this is not an exhaustive list.
People who have or are experiencing:news that their pregnancy is not viable
fatal diagnosis for the pregnant person
fatal diagnosis for a baby
stillbirth
death of a child
death of a partner during pregnancy or postpartum
loss of identity
difficult birth experiences
sudden change in dis/ability status
abortion
infertility

On a case-by-case basis, I am also able to support children impacted by reproductive loss.

No. The option will remain available to you, but you are never expected or obligated to participate in any type of ritual or processing activity. At all times, you are in control of what your bereavement support looks like.

I do not provide therapy as this is outside of my scope of practice. This means I do not diagnose or treat psychiatric disorders or apply therapy-based techniques.
I provide personalized, companion-based support for those looking for non-medical approaches to grief either in addition to or in lieu of therapy or psychiatry.

For bereavement support, I offer sliding scale and donation based payments. The suggested rate is $30-80 per hour.
If cost is a barrier, I encourage you to reach out anyway. Whenever possible, I will work with you.

The timeline is largely up to you. I can provide single sessions or I can support you for weeks or months. Additionally, I acknowledge that grief is not linear and some people may benefit from bereavement support years after the fact. I offer support no matter when your loss occurred.
