3% Cover the Fee

Why give?

  • Donations go directly to paying for client services—never any overhead costs or business fees.

  • Our Punakea services are specifically for folks who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Disabled, and/or as teen birthing people.

  • Clients can choose which services they need. And you can donate any amount—from $1 to an entire service.

 FAQs

  • Crowdfunded funds go into a separate fund called our Punakea fund. The Punakea fund, in addition to my donated time, allows me to provide low and no-cost services to BIPOC, queer, Disabled, and teen parent communities while also covering basic living costs so that I am able to continue providing these low and no-cost services.

  • By giving back to these communities, I stay close to my mission of supporting equitable and affirming experiences for communities most heavily impacted by prejudice and lack of reproductive autonomy.

Additionally, I recognize the unique challenges that teen pregnancy can present including less support and lower access to funds. I also recognize that historically marginalized communities are often more likely to experience unsupported teen pregnancies.

  • Punakea clients reach out via email or contact form to inquire about services—same as any other client. I take clients based on when they reached out to inquire. If at the time of inquiry I am able to take on a Punakea client, I set up a consultation with them to determine the services they are seeking and whether they need those services to be provided low cost (with them paying some of the cost and donated time or money covering the rest) or no cost (entirely covered through crowdfunding and my donated time).

  • I firmly believe in transparency. In my monthly newsletter, I will disclose the amount crowdfunded and where that money is going. While respecting client privacy, I will allow space for Punakea clients to share statements about their services or information about themselves—should they choose to share. Any other questions about transparency with crowdfunding? Please reach out anytime!
