meet your co-leadersKyra Laffey
Kyra is a full spectrum doula specializing in birth and bereavement. Their approach prioritizes individual and holistic care, collaborating directly with clients to provide the support that they find most supportive. In working with and caring for bereavement clients, they often address emotional, logistical, and advocacy needs while also ensuring clients know what their options are for processing their experiences and in making decisions about their process.
Kyra brings a non-clinical approach to the group including introducing supportive routines, herbs, and holding space for whatever degree of engagement you feel ready for.

What to Expect When You Come-
Each session is a little bit different in order to provide ongoing support to varying needs. Sessions alternate between more typical discussion or journaling opportunities and more hands on, experiential activities. The schedule for the first three months is below:
September: a discussion focused opportunity for introductions, community building, and an open discussion on grief and loss.
October: a meditation and personal reflection followed by an opportunity to create a unique tea blend that you can take home as a daily support and routine.
November: a more focused discussion on experiences of infertility and miscarriage including opportunities for reflection and remembrance.
Please note: sometimes our discussions may lean towards one type of loss. These will vary to provide intentional space for everyone. Even if the topic on a given month is not one you directly relate to, we still welcome you to join.
